Advait Ayurveda offers you solutions to many of your physical and mental problems that seem chronic and everlasting. That is why today Ayurvedic therapies have become so trendy and one of the highly praised therapy is Virechana panchakarma Therapy.
Virechana Karma also known as the medicated purgation therapy, is one of the five Pradhana Karmas of Panchakarma which is used in treating Pittaj disorders. Ayurveda, the science of life, emphasizes the adoption of a number of preventative and healing therapies, which can purify and rejuvenate the body, mind, and soul. The medicinal form of science is not just a healing system, but also an art of appropriate, healthy and deases-free living. It aims at increasing the longevity of people of all ages. Panchakarma therapy encompasses five treatments that can prevent and heal a number of deasess. One of the five treatments is Virechana, a purification therapy.
Virachana therapy is defined as the medicated purgation therapy, which cleanses the Pitta and purifies the blood, by clearing the toxins from the body. The treatment concentrates on the toxins that are accumulated in the liver and gall bladder. The gastrointestinal tract is also cleansed by Virachana therapy.
Virechana treatment is targeted to expel increased Pitta Dosha out of the body. When Pitta dosha increases, it causes certain types of deasess – such as Skin problems, Migraine, Acidity, etc. If the extent of Pitta increase is less, then some oral medicines can be given to suppress it. But if it has increased to a large extent and if it has moved from its natural place to other places, then it needs to be expelled out of the body. By expelling it out, the deases gets cured, often completely. Since Pitta is situated in the umbilical region, expelling it from the G.I track is very easy. Hence, Virechana treatment is designed. To expel it out, first the Pitta Dosha needs to be forcefully brought from the extremities and different organs into the rectum, and then purgation is induced.
